On Wednesday, we had a thorough discussion with Hamdi who presented an alternative legal structure;
The model revolves around establishing a holding company that issues different classes of shares for each of the projects it incubates and/or invests in
This model will be presented and discussed in more detail during our next Legal Guild Bonfire next week.
We have been concentrating on identifying the legal framework but we realised without tax planning we are only halfway there. We are lucky we have Francisco on our side who is helping us through this complex subject. We had a call with him on Thursday and now looking for an international tax planner to work with.
We had intro calls with two law firms from the US 🇺🇸, and now we have a really good understanding of which entities we can set up in the US, who can invest/participate in these entities, and which regulations and exemptions we can use.
For those that do not follow these bullet points on legal stuff, you are not alone! We are working tirelessly to land a legal infrastructure that can take us to the next stages of our journey. We published the 5th edition of The Paperboy 🗞️! We’re diving deep into DAOs, and starting a new series where we will be looking into what DAOs are conceptually and presenting different DAO entities that are endeavouring in this web3 experiment in their own unique ways.

Upcoming Events 🎟️
We’re gathering the Legal Guild to give a full update on our discussions with various law firms over the past few weeks. As we now have a better grasp on our alternatives, the meeting’s objective will be to filter our options and agree on the best course of action.
Behind The Scenes 🎬
We’re meeting the RET team in Jakarta, the first Indonesian 🇮🇩 blockchain project focused on democratizing real estate utility and investments using blockchain technology. Our aim is to better understand their technology and legal setup and to explore whether there are ways for us to collaborate for projects in Indonesia.
Starting next week (10th edition already! 😮) we’re starting to feature our members here on Wrap Up-Only, sharing a little more professional & personal stuff about each other so we get to know everyone better.
We will share December Roadmap this upcoming week but many of our efforts are ongoing. We are working on a much more in-depth roadmap for Q1 2023. We are also planning a year-ending online community call, before Xmas 🎄, where we present updates and present the roadmap.
On the legal front, we’ll be holding a few more calls with legal firms before selecting one we’d like to move forward with.
We will be exploring The Cayman Islands 🇰🇾 and assessing whether it can be a viable option for us.
